Christmas Tea, December 2009

The weather might have been wet, cold and nasty BUT that didn’t dampen the spirits of those who attended our Annual Christmas Tea. There was time for visiting, tasting the many treats that were brought in, and sampling some delicious and different teas. Joan Dahl carried the tradition of presenting her hand painted Christmas ornaments, made especially for babies born into the Deep Run Church Family during the 2009. This year we were blessed by three births! Christmas Carols were sung and a special reading was shared with us by Carol Ramsey. Two other short presentations were made and they were: A Shepherd’s Revelation – Joanna McCormick; and Christmas Voices – Val Smith, Jean Pritchard, Marje Beck, Jennifer Spear and Debbie Hahn. The afternoon concluded with more tea and visitation and many ‘kitchen elves” staying afterwards for additional chatting time.
