We have an active and dedicated Mission Committee at the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run that strives to reach out to our community, our region, and the world in Christian love. Within the past year we have sponsored organizations such as Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Pennridge FISH, Discovery Service Projects, and the Dublin Fire Company. Whenever possible we include our physical presence along with the monetary aid. We also have a “Gifts of Grace” program to help people in the community who are experiencing financial hardship and would benefit from a one time monetary gift. We also encourage and support other mission endeavors of our youth and adults throughout the year. This support may include sending specific items to people in need, collecting donations for selected charities or fielding mission work teams to travel abroad.
We have established an Alternative Giving Program at Christmas and are working towards family friendly fundraising events during the year. The Presbyterian Church of Deep Run participates in the Upper Bucks Interfaith Hospitality Network under the guidance of Keystone Opportunity Council. Each October our church becomes “home” for one to three temporarily homeless families. The Mission Committee is the driving force behind this endeavor.
Our in house mission is to raise awareness of the abundant blessings that have been bestowed upon our congregation and our nation and to foster grateful hearts. Hearts that willingly share their time, talents and treasure in Jesus’ name. Not only within our church but with the
world at large.
