Throughout the year, we provide adult education opportunities in a variety of ways. Our Sunday morning classes focus on individual books of the Bible, our Presbyterian faith and matters of current interest. Men’s and women’s groups as well as our Seasoned Adults Learning Together (SALT) meet during the week to continue our spiritual journeys.
All are welcomed.
Sunday Morning, 9:00 AM
Why did Paul write his letter to the Romans? Do the problems the ancient Roman Christians faced differ from problems we face today? Is early Christian theology still relevant and applicable in our lives? How can we give our own prayer lives and worship habits a jump-start? The answers to these and other questions will be explored and discussed in a study of Romans. We meet Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM in Hoopes Hall and use Jack Kuhatschek’s booklet Romans – Becoming New in Christ. Contact: Lynne Trout.
Sunday Morning, 10:30
If you have an interest in meeting at this time, please contact Jeff Schmitt as he works on a topic with other members.
The Men’s Breakfast and Study Group
This group meets on Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 AM at the Dublin Diner. They are studying Dwight Edward’s book Revolution Within as he helps us look at Jesus whose Kingdom is the heart. Contact: Glenn Argue or Rick Miller
Monday Night Women’s Bible Study
This group meets at 7:00 Monday evening in Room 225 and uses the Back to the Source method of studying Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians. In using this method you read the verses and ask three questions. What is it saying? What does it mean? And How do I apply the message to my life? This method produces much discussion and understanding of what the Bible is saying. Contact: Nancy Miller or Margie Mosher
Women on Wednesday
Women on Wednesday meets in the Knowlan Library. Our study this fall will be selections from Devotional Classics by Foster and Smith. Come early at 10:15 for coffee, tea, and conversation. We will begin the hour-long Bible study and prayers promptly at 10:30. Contact: Joanna McCormick.
